Our client in northern MA has a perm/direct hire opening for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a solid background in designing mechanical solutions for various commercial and industrial products. The Mechanical Engineer must have a proven track record of designing complex products using systematic methods and process. The individual must able to work independently. The individual must be highly skilled in Solidworks.
Responsibilities Include:
Design and Design analysis for improving proof of concept functionality, cost, reliability, manufacturability and safety for instrumentation
Develop and execute Design Verification (DV) tests and ECOs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (MS is a plus)
7+ years of professional Mechanical Engineering design experience
Strong aptitude with the use of SolidWorks
Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly
Tolerance analysis experience is helpful
Experience with Plastic injection molding part design, heat transfer and FEA would all be highly desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
